Operations Manager (Head of Guest Experience)

We're seeking an experienced individual in Hotel Operations to assume the role of Operations Manager (Head of Guest Experience). Our Client is a top rating hotel in East Northamptonshire with a busy C&E, Rosette Restaurant and an active Spa & Health Club with a strong membership base.


The successful candidate will inherit a well-run hotel and Management team, which does not need quick fixes or sudden change, as the customer service levels are already high. However we are looking for a dynamic individual who can build upon the current accomplishments, driving the team towards continued excellence while fostering a supportive and collaborative environment. Someone who possess a hands-on approach and possess the ability to unify the team.


In this role, your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Overseeing critical operational teams such as food and beverage, conference services, reception, spa, and spa treatments to ensure the delivery of unparalleled guest experiences at every interaction point.
  • Directly reporting to the General Manager and collaborating with the Leadership Team to execute operational and sales strategies across your designated areas.
  • Collaborating closely with Department Heads to facilitate recruitment, retention, and training initiatives.
  • Providing guidance and nurturing the professional growth of Departmental Managers through coaching and development efforts.
  • Conducting monthly profit and loss reviews with your managerial team, presenting findings to the General Manager.
  • We're seeking a dynamic and commercially astute individual to join the Leadership Team. Your primary focus will be on elevating the guest journey and experience while spearheading the front-of-house, food and beverage, and spa teams. A comprehensive understanding of the industry and marketplace, including its challenges and opportunities, is essential.

Your active involvement in the hotel's overall operation will be vital. This includes maintaining a strong presence within the business, fulfilling operational management shifts, and stepping in for the General Manager when needed.
