Our client is looking for a talented Junior Sous Chef to join their team at this excellent high-end food Restaurant.

This award-winning restaurant famous for their steaks counter serving locally raised Bedfordshire Beef and an A la Carte Menu inspired by classic dishes from their culinary past recreated to a unique modern style. The restaurant is part of a 16 en-suite bedroom hotel and has recently finished a restaurant extension, opening a Garden Dining Room which increases an additional 40 covers. The successful applicant for this role will deliver excellent customer service, have a positive ‘can do’ attitude, be willing to learn and show that they care.

The Role:

We are looking for someone who needs to be passionate about great seasonal ingredients, bring energy, have stamina & inspiration. As a Junior Sous Chef you must communicate well with others, carry out instructions, is able to pay close attention to detail and will commit to providing outstanding service to our guests.

Your Experience:

  • 3+ yrs chef experience in a fresh food environment
  • Have own transport due to location.
  • Be a hardworking person with a can-do attitude
  • Experience working in a busy restaurant (grill experience preferred)
  • Have good communication skills
  • Be guest focused
  • Be passionate about food
  • Be able to work daytime, evenings and weekends

  • £15ph / £35,100 Salary + up to £4.5k in tips (based on 45 hours per week)
  • Hourly Pay - paid every hour worked including overtime
  • Rota/Shift work - 5 days out of 7 including evenings and weekends.
  • Christmas Period Off - closed from Christmas Day (inclusive) to 1st week of January.
  • Staff Discount.
  • Short Term On-site Accommodation Available for relocation purposes.
